- The Alex Award
- The Alex Awards, are funded by the Margaret Alexander; Edwards Trust,
which are announced annually in conjunction with National; Library Week, honor
the top 10 adult books for teenagers published during a calendar year.
- The John Newbery Award
- The Newbery Medal was named for 18th Century British bookseller John
Newbery. It is awarded annually by the American Library Association -
Association for Library Service to Children, to the author of the most
distinguished contribution to American Literature for children.

The Michael L. Printz Award
- The Michael L. Printz Award is an award for a book that exemplifies
literary excellence in young adult literature. It is named for a Topeka,
Kansas school librarian who was a long-time active member of the Young Adult
Library Services Association of the American Library Association.
